How to Check Your NTN Verification Online in 2022

Every citizen who makes money has to check their National Tax Number (NTN). The Federal Board of Revenue is in charge of giving out the NTN reference number (FBR). The article tells you everything you need to know about NTN verification.

FBR gives people, groups of people, and businesses a National Tax Number/Reference Number through online NTN verification so they can pay their taxes on time to the Federal Board of Revenue. But you have to pay tax only if your salary is over the amount set by the FBR, which is 6 lacs/year.

You must have the NTN in order to be able to pay the tax. Non-registered members have to pay a higher tax rate when they buy or sell the property or a vehicle. The federal board of Revenue (FBR) gives NTNs to people whose jobs pay them a salary. The person then has to file tax returns with the federal board of Revenue.

You can check your NTN at a Regional Tax Office, or you can do it online through the FBR web portal. The FBR’s NTN certificate has a reference number that is also called an NTN number.

The FBR has made it easy for people in Pakistan to get an NTN number, check their NTN number, and get an NTN application form, all from the comfort of their own homes.

Also, the FBR has said that the deadline for filing income tax forms will not be pushed back any further. It has, however, made it possible for the chief commissions to accept requests for extensions after the deadline has passed.
